I'm delighted to announce that I'm diving in to a new venture - one that I look forward to sharing with you personally.

 I will be joining forces with my good friends and neighbors at Alias Restaurant, located on the corner of Clinton & Rivington Streets on the Lower East Side, starting January 1st 2010.

Together we will continue to bring you the eclectic American cuisine and impeccable service Alias is known for.

I am especially excited to be working with professionals who share my passion for creating the perfect neighborhood restaurant experience, starting with the first 'welcome' to the final 'goodnight'.

My partners in this venture, Janet, Marybeth, Dennis and Tony D. have built a fine track record ever since they put the Lower East Side on the restaurant map more than a decade ago by opening the famous 71 Clinton Fresh Food. 

I can't wait to work with these kindred spirits in the continuing quest for the perfect combination of excellent food and impeccable (and affable!) service.

Alias is open for Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and lunch and dinner every day except Monday. 

Unfortunately I have to be in and out of New York in January.  During that time, however,  I hope to gather as much feedback as I can from customers who visit Alias.  I strongly believe that if you enjoyed the Jarnac experience, you'll enjoy Alias, so please give it a try and let me know your thoughts either in person or, if we miss each other, by mailing Tony@tonypowe.com.
